Francis Uzoho, Super Eagles goalkeeper, has welcomed the arrival of a “bouncing” baby boy with Soomie Uzoho, his wife.
The 21-year-old shot stopper took to his social media page on Friday to break the good news. He also shared a picture where he is seen posing with his wife and first child.
“Welcome to the world son #first son# pinky na woman you be jare @soomieuzoho. In Christ alone,” he wrote on his Instagram page.

Francis and Soomie tied the knot in a widely celebrated traditional marriage, held at Anglican Cathedral playground, Egbu in Owerri, Imo state in December 2018.
Born in Nwangele local government area of the state, Uzoho kickstarted his football career at Senegal branch of Aspire Academy in 2013 — at the age of 14.
Although, he started as an attacking player, he would later be converted to a goalkeeper after he was deemed “too slow”.
The goalkeeper has since become an integral part of the Super Eagles since he was named the first choice shot stopper at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia — with Gernot Rohr appearing to trust his ability.
Francis, who plays for Athletic Club Omonia Nicosia, a Cypriot professional football club based in Nicosia — on loan from Deportivo de La Coruña — is presently recovering from a long-term injury he sustained during an October 2019 friendly game between Nigeria and Brazil which ended 1-1.
