The NBA has announced the coach of the Sacramento Kings, Mike Brown as the 2022/23 Coach of the Year in a unanimous vote.
The announcement was made on the official Twitter account of the NBA. Brown has been amazing since he joined the Kings in his first year in charge, this is one of the best seasons in franchise history.
This is the second time that Brown has won the NBA’s Coach of the Year award. The first came during his initial, successful stint as coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2009 while Lebron James was the player of the year. His 2008-09 team won 66 games and he took home Coach of the Year honors.
The Kings have been more offensive in NBA history this season at 118.6 points per 100 possessions. This ensured that Sacramento jump from the lottery into their first playoff in 17 years.
