The footballing future of Lionel Messi, the forward player for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), has become increasingly uncertain as the current season draws to a close.
Over the past few weeks, there have been rumors linking the World Cup winner to a potential transfer to the Saudi Arabian Pro League for the upcoming football season. Confirming these speculations, PSG’s head coach, Christophe Galtier, announced that Messi will be leaving the club at the conclusion of this season.
Galtier made this revelation during his last press conference of the season, just prior to the match against Clemont.
I had a privilege of coaching the best player in the history of football. It will be Leo’s last match at the Parc des Princes against Clermont.
Messi joined PSG from Barcelona as a free agent during the 2021 summer transfer window because of the financial fair play in Spain which prevented him from signing a contract extension.
