The Super Falcons are poised to pursue their tenth African championship, with their quest set to commence later this month. Barcelona standout Asisat Oshoala and Atletico Madrid’s Rasheedat Ajibade are among the 24 players selected for the Super Falcons’ upcoming match against Sao Tome and Principe in the 2023 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations qualifiers, as reported by Soccernet.
Nigeria recently concluded their journey at the World Cup, exiting in the round of 16 after a painful defeat to England. Their next objective is to clinch a historic tenth Africa Women’s Cup of Nations title in Morocco next year.
The Super Falcons will kick off their campaign with a qualifying match against Sao Tome and Principe, and the NFF has just released the list of 24 players for the occasion. Notably, Barcelona star Oshoala and Paris FC women’s goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie have retained their spots, while Onome Ebi, the team’s captain, remains in the lineup.
