Social media personality VeryDarkMan has disclosed that renowned music producer Don Jazzy, born Michael Collins Ajereh, is the mystery donor behind a ₦100 million contribution to his newly established Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), which focuses on community development and improving public schools.
Initially, VeryDarkMan raised concerns in an Instagram video, requesting an investigation from Zenith Bank after noticing an unexpected deposit into the NGO’s account. He clarified his worries, saying, “I AM NOT INTO MONEY LAUNDERING, I DO NOT DO FRAUD (FOR THE RECORD),” as he urged the bank to investigate.
However, in a follow-up video, VeryDarkMan confirmed that Don Jazzy reached out, revealing he made the generous donation to support the NGO’s mission. Don Jazzy’s message read, “Na me send ₦100m to support. I believe in what you are doing and trust you to be as transparent as you have always been. We really need that in our country.”
The unexpected donation left VeryDarkMan, who had been receiving smaller contributions from followers, in shock. Since the NGO’s launch just five days ago, the organization has already raised ₦179 million.
Following the revelation, Don Jazzy began trending on X (formerly Twitter), with fans and netizens praising his generosity and offering prayers for his continued success. VeryDarkMan reassured supporters of his commitment to transparency and promised regular updates on the funds raised and their usage.
