Asake; The Permanent Flood We All Swimming In

Asake burst into the scene like a storm, blowing through the continent, raising the dust and blowing a wind so different from everything that’s ever been felt. He came like a flood, came in and no one saw, he rose covering all corners and moving up continuously. Unlike normal floods, the “Asake flood” is here to stay. It’s permanent, its turned into a lake and we’re all swimming in this lake.

Mr Money as he’s also called is making the whole world dance and sing in Yoruba. He is so confident in his talent that he sings in his native language and the whole world just have to listen. Mr Money is gathering all the money, dropping hits back to back and topping charts. His nickname shouldn’t just be “Mr Money”, but “Mr No. 1”.

His rise has been Meteoric and he’s been releasing music since 2018. Olamide came along and became the game changer, since then Asake has become a house hold name in Afrobeats. Making hit after hit and topping charts has become his signature.

Ahmed Ololade AKA Asake was born on the 13th of January 1995 in Lagos. He attended Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) and the talented singer was definitely made for this life.

For being a flood which turned into a fun lake, Asake is our Man Crush this week.
