Wizkid Confirms Release Date Of A New Song And Shocks Fans With Album Announcement

Wizkid has announced the release date of a new song and has also confirmed his plans for a new album after the release of ‘More Love Less Ego.’

It seems as though the Grammy award-winning singer, songwriter, and performer Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has confirmed when he will be releasing a new song and the music video for the song. The singer also stunned fans with his plans for a new album amidst his upcoming historic Tottenham Hotspur stadium concert in London.

The singer confirmed that he would be releasing an album in the final week of June 2023; although the singer did not confirm the specific date for the release, he announced that he would be releasing a music video in the same week as well.

The biggest bird also announced that he has completed a new album but left fans in suspense as to when the project would be released. Wiz made this revelation during his visit to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium ahead of his concert on the 29th of July 2023.

‘I’m not ashamed of selling okrika’ — actor Sylvester Madu hits critics

Sylvester Madu has addressed the surprise expressed by movie enthusiasts upon discovering that he sells second-hand goods, commonly known as ‘Okrika’.

A video emerged on social media on Friday, capturing the popular actor selling these used items in a market in Enugu.

In the now-viral footage, Madu, dressed in a brown jacket, can be seen holding a sack of clothes while engaging in discussions with some customers.


The video came as a shock to Nigerians, with some expressing concerns about the actor’s choice of business.

In response to the viral clip, Madu expressed pride in his “business empire,” which includes various individuals involved in selling different types of fairly used items.

“Do your business legit, no send anybody. Someone saying that this is really encouraging. If someone like me can run my business then why would he be sitting at home and doing nothing? Because there are a lot of Nigerian youths at home doing nothing,” he said in pidgin English.

“Some of them will just come on social media and boys I need urgent 2k. Go outside and work. If you no get work I will employ you. I have boys selling for me at different spots.

“People dey just dey say legit business like something to be ashamed of. What’s the difference between me and the person selling in the market? Because I’m popular? Because I’m an actor or celebrity? So? Make I no run business. Do you know how much people have sent to me and more are still coming? Saying ‘support your business’. No be sey I dey hungry.”

Reflecting on humans’ obsession with material things in 2021, Madu said he once borrowed money to acquire a Blackberry phone just to impress people.

Burna Boy was scheduled to perform at Gelredome Arnhem Stadium, which has a capacity of 41,000, on Saturday evening.

However, the popular ‘African Giant’ artist canceled the concert, leaving thousands of disappointed fans waiting for hours.

This decision resulted in a significant backlash against Burna Boy.

In an effort to defend Burna Boy, a fan shared a video clip of the massive crowd at the concert venue on Twitter.

The fan also boasted about Burna Boy’s devoted fanbase, claiming that even Davido’s hypothetical funeral wouldn’t attract such a crowd.

The Twitter user wrote,

“Even if Davido’s burial were to be free, it couldn’t gather this kind of crowd. Know your place.”

Davido, upon seeing the tweet, questioned the user’s intentions in “wishing death upon him.”

“So, you want me to die? What could be the reason for that? What have I personally done to you to deserve such a wish of death… Anyway, I’m not going anywhere! I will live my life to the fullest! #StreamTimeless,” he replied.

In response to the situation, the event organizers, Bon Bon Entertainment, have issued a statement shedding light on the circumstances.

Despite reportedly selling out the event, Burna Boy ultimately decided to cancel the show and has since offered an apology, explaining the reasons behind the cancellation. Taking another perspective, Bon Bon Entertainment, a reputable European organization with a history of working with renowned artists like Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Black Coffee, Mr. Eazi, Rema, and more, also took to social media to express their apologies and provide further insight into the disappointment.

According to Bon Bon Entertainment, both their team and Burna Boy’s team made every effort until the last moment to proceed with the concert. Nigerian singer-songwriter and producer, Chukwuka Ekweani, professionally known as CKay, recently decided to remove BNXN (Buju)’s verse from his track titled ‘Hallelujah’ due to personal reasons. The collaboration, produced by Magicsticks and featuring rapper Blaqbonez, gained significant popularity and reached the top spot on Apple Music Nigeria. However, it appears that the song was originally intended to have additional features.

Several weeks after its release, CKay revealed that BNXN and street-hop artist Seyi Vibez were initially meant to be featured alongside Blaqbonez on the record. However, BNXN expressed his desire to be excused from the song after hearing Blaqbonez’s verse. CKay respected his request and made the necessary adjustments.

Manchester United, who managed to secure a top 4 finish in the 2022/2023 season, would be looking to replicate their fine form and challenge for the titles in all competitions for the 2023/2024 season.

Manchester United would take on Wolves as the Red Devils’ first game of the season on Monday, the 14th of August 2023, at 8 pm. This fixture might be under the new ownership as the current owners want to sell the club.
