Chelsea Football Club has confirmed the jersey number for its latest signing, Pedro Neto from Wolves, ahead of the 2024/25 season.
The announcement was made on the club’s official website on Wednesday, August 14, 2024. According to the club, Pedro Neto will don the number 19 jersey in the upcoming season.
The winger officially joined Chelsea on Sunday, August 11, 2024, signing a seven-year contract that will keep him at Stamford Bridge until 2031. He was introduced to the fans at Stamford Bridge during halftime of the friendly match against Inter Milan.
Pedro Neto will join new Chelsea signings Tosin Adarabioyo, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Filip Jorgensen, Omari Kellyman, and Aaron Anselmin. Caleb Wiley, Renato Veiga, and Marc Guiu joined the squad, with Estevao Willian set to participate in 2025.
While at Wolves, Neto made 135 appearances and contributed to 11 goals in 20 Premier League matches last season. He also established himself as a regular in the Portugal national team, earning ten caps, with his most recent appearance coming during this summer’s European Championship.
