Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag has shared his thoughts on Marcus Rashford‘s performance as the English forward finds his form during the 2023/2024 and 2024/2025 seasons.
Rashford’s form has been a hot topic among fans, with mixed reactions following last week’s Premier League match against Southampton.
In United’s 3-0 victory over Southampton, Rashford, alongside Garnacho and De Ligt, got on the scoresheet, giving fans hope that the striker is regaining his confidence. While some praised his improvement, others expressed concerns over his consistency in front of goal.
Addressing Rashford’s goal-scoring form during a pre-match press conference, Ten Hag commented:
“Very good, of course, your striker starting to score when the season is very young. Strikers need that belief. Very good for the team. It will strengthen their belief.”
Rashford’s two goals in Manchester United’s EFL win against Barnsley on Tuesday have further boosted morale among fans and the player himself. Fans are hopeful that this resurgence in form will continue throughout the season.
In an interview after the Barnsley game, Rashford stated:
“It’s early to say but I hope so. We’ll move onto the next game now and just rest, recover, and focus on the next one. Football is football, sometimes you have ups and sometimes you have downs. We have to use these games to find momentum and find consistency.”
