Fireboy DML has joined a very short and exclusive list of afrobeats artists that have achieved this incredible feat in the US.
Fireboy DML’s smashing hit ‘Peru’ has achieved an unprecedented feat which is a career record for the singer as he joined the list of top acts such as Wizkid, Davido, Burna Boy, Rema and CKay to be the only afrobeats artists to receive a platinum certification in the US after selling over one million digital copies of a single.
‘Peru’ which has also been certified Platinum in the UK as well after selling over 600,000 digital units following the huge and explosive collaboration with Ed Sheeran on the remix of the hit song.

The certification was confirmed by the RIAA on the 16th of February, 2023.
