According to Romano Fabrizio, the striker has informed Borussia Dortmund he will leave the club at the end of the season. Haaland wants the deal to be announced later this week so he can say goodbye to the supportive BVB fans. The release clause on his contract is €75m.

Manchester City informed Dortmund last week that they are ready to activate the striker’s release clause. The clause stipulates Haaland’s transfer fee will have to be paid in one payment. Unlike many of the other top transfers that happen in several instalments.
Haaland, who is one of the most sought-after young strikers in world football, has scored 85 goals in 88 matches for Dortmund since joining from RB Salzburg in January 2020. Since the departure of top striker, Sergio Aguero Manchester City has lacked that focal point up front and they just got their man.
