Ola Aina Very Relieved After Penalty Miss

Ola Aina has reacted to his penalty shootout miss against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa in the semi-final of the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

Nigeria defeated the Bafana Bafana of South Africa 4-2 via penalty shootout after a 1 all draw on Wednesday night to qualify for the AFCON finals.

Aina missed his spot-kick during the shootout as the Nottingham Forest player kicked the ball over the bar.

However, Stanley Nwabali made two saves to ensure Jose Peseiro’s men qualified for the final.

The likes of Terem Moffi, Kenneth Omeruo, William Troost-Ekong and kelechi iIheanacho all scored their penalties.

Reacting, the former Chelsea player, in a video posted on social media after the game said,

“these boys saved me. I don’t care.”

The Super Eagles will now face Ivory Coast in the AFCON final on Sunday
