Meanwhile, Olamide’s latest album, Ikigai, has been making waves in the music industry, especially with standout tracks like “Hello Habibi” and “Metaverse.” The Japanese term Ikigai means “living a life of purpose,” which Olamide says resonated with him during his introspective period.

Olamide’s previous album, Carpe Diem, was released in 2020. With Ikigai, he has returned with a renewed passion for music, crediting his realization that music is his purpose for inspiring his comeback.

Olamide’s honesty about his struggles and triumphs has endeared him to fans, and Ikigai is proof of his continued relevance in Nigeria’s music industry.
