The Premier league enters match week 31 and things are taking shape in the table. Some shocks, some amazing teams, some not so great and some clueless teams. Here’s my prediction for the week
Saturday 15th April 2023
12:30 Aston Villa Newcastle
Newcastle has been one of the better teams in the league this season. Great defensively, they also possess some very interesting players in their ranks. Villa hasn’t done badly either, beating Chelsea a couple of weeks ago (I know most teams can beat Chelsea right now). They can be a really tough side to face as Unai Emery always sets his side to be compact and fearless when attacking.
Villa 0: Newcastle 1
15:00 Chelsea Vs Brighton
The Seagulls are playing really fantastic football at the moment with the likes of Mitoma. Brighton are fearless when they play, they create chances and they have some fine players. Chelsea on the other hand are short of ideas and the London side are struggling to score goals, scoring just 29 goals in 30 league games but I see them scoring today.
Chelsea 2 Brighton 2
15:00 Everton Vs Fulham
Everton has been in and out of the relegation zone fighting for their survival and this week they play against a Fulham side who aren’t doing badly themselves but will be without star player Mitrovic, who is still suspended. Everton will be home and the 12th man might just see them through the line.
Everton 1 Fulham 0
15:00 Southampton Vs Crystal Palace
The saints have been toothless this season and they are rock bottom in the league table, they are one of the teams pundits think will go down. I think they’ll put up a fight today but playing against Crystal Palace who are still high from the new manager bounce might just complicate things.
Southampton 1 Crystal Palace 1
15:00 Tottenham Vs Bournemouth
Spurs will look to win against the Cherries to make a push for champions league places. With the quality in the Tottenham side, I see them winning this one convincingly.
Tottenham 3 Bournemouth 0
15:00 Wolves Vs Brentford
Wolves has been struggling all of this season and facing a good side like Brentford will only continue their struggles.
Wolves 1 Brentford 2
17:30 Man City Vs Leicester
Manchester City are coming from a confidence boosting win over German Champions, Bayern Munich. The City side will look to compound the woes of Leicester who appointed a new interim manager in Dean Smith. The Foxes will fight hard but it won’t be enough.
Man City 3 Leicester 1
Sunday 16th April 2023
14:00 West Ham Arsenal
The Gunners will look to continue their premier league charge when they take on West Ham in the London stadium. Although it’s a London derby, Arsenal will take the day as West Ham have been poor this season.
West Ham 0 Arsenal 2
16:30 Forest Vs Man Utd
Forest are a tough side to beat at home and with United missing out some key players like Rashford and Martinez, Nottingham Forest have a chance.
Forest 1 United 0
Monday 17th April, 2023
20:00 Leeds Vs Liverpool
Liverpool has been a shadow of themselves this season, playing like a team that was just put together in a couple of weeks. Leeds united are battling relegation, fighting really hard to avoid the drop. Liverpool will just edge this one
Leeds 1 Liverpool 2
