Nollywood actor Francis Duru has lost his son, Ifeanyi.
The actor shared the heartbreaking news in a touching tribute on his Instagram page on Thursday, expressing his deep grief and describing Ifeanyi as a “champion who fought like a lion.”
“My champ, my lion. You fought like a lion. If this is the way He wants it, so be it. I still judge you faithful,” he wrote.
“Ifeanyi, my champ. I will miss you son, I will forever love you. Rest in peace. I give thanks to the Lord.”

Duru, however, did not disclose when his son passed away or the circumstances surrounding his demise.
Ifeanyi’s death comes just a few months after Duru celebrated his 15th birthday on social media. In that Instagram post, he praised Ifeanyi’s “deep spirituality and maturity.”
“Guess who is 15 today. Like yesterday, today you are 15. Ify, I thank you for your deep spirituality and maturity, an amazing philosophy,” he wrote.
“Thank you for your heart of gold and making parenting easy. Your greatness is secured in the hands of God and may his angels be a constant in your life. Thank you for all you do don and my buddy. We all love you and you know. Happy birthday buddy.”
