Combs was taken into custody on Monday, September 16, 2024, after being denied bail twice by federal court. According to People Magazine (September 19, 2024), Diddy’s legal team offered $50 million for bail, with a large portion backed by his Miami Star Island mansion, but the court deemed him a flight risk and denied the request. His legal team also proposed house arrest with no female visitors, which was rejected.

The charges stem from allegations that Diddy ran a criminal enterprise dating back to 2008, using drugs and violence to force women into sexual acts. If convicted, the rapper could face up to life in prison. His arrest follows raids on his properties in Los Angeles and Miami, where law enforcement reportedly discovered 1,000 bottles of lubricant and AR-15 rifles.

Diddy is expected to return to court later this week as the case unfolds.
