Seyi Vibez pays emotional tribute to late Mohbad on stage

Nigerian singer Seyi Vibez paid tribute to his late friend and fellow artist, Mohbad, during a recent performance.

While on stage, Seyi Vibez repeatedly sang in Yoruba, “Oba Imole po gan,” which translates to “the king of light is plenty,” referring to Mohbad’s nickname, “Imole.” The touching moment was filled with emotion as Seyi Vibez looked upwards, clearly moved by the memory of his friend. Fans in attendance were also deeply affected by the tribute, sparking a renewed wave of love and respect for Mohbad.

Mohbad’s sudden death on September 12, 2023, shocked the music industry. Seyi Vibez, like many of his colleagues, had a close relationship with Mohbad. The two artists had previously collaborated on the song “Bolanle.”
