Tiwa Savage, Falz, two Nigerian singers, and Awilo Logomba, Congolese musician, would join over 30 music acts billed to perform at the 2019 African Music Awards’ ‘music village’.
The festival, which is the second in a series of events in AFRIMA’s 2019 schedule, would hold on November 21 — a day after the awarding body would treat its 2019 nominees to a ‘Welcome Soiree’ — at the Agege Stadium in Lagos, Nigeria.
The AFRIMA ‘music village’ promises to feature both A-list and emerging artistes, including AFRIMA nominees and past winners, in a 12-hour concert-style music festival.
Among the Nigerian artistes to deliver performances on the stage are 2Baba, Teni the Entertainer, Ycee, Pasuma Wonder, Rudeboy, Saheed Osupa, Small Doctor, Skiibi, and Niniola.
Ghana’s Stonebwoy; South Africa’s Nasty C, Sauti Sol from Kenya, Rayvanny from Tanzania, Daphne from Cameroon; Angola’s Anna Jone, Toofan from Togo, Aminux, and Kanvee Adams would also be performing.
The Africa Music Business Summit (AMBS), a networking event, would follow a day after the ‘music village’ while the main award would hold on Saturday, November 23, at Eko Convention Centre, Eko Hotels & Suites in Victoria Island, Lagos, at 4.00 p.m.
