Boniface joined Xavi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen in the summer after an amazing campaign with Union Saint-Gilloise which saw him finish as Europa League’s top scorer. Victor Boniface is growing stronger in the Bundelsliga, not only scoring but assisting as well. The 22 years forward is a complete striker. He has so far scored 7 goals and assisted a further 5 in 11 league games for Leverkusen.
Victor Okoh Boniface was born on the 23rd of December 2000 in Akure Ondo State. He played for Real Sapphire football club Lagos. Where he got a move to Norwegian top flight side, Bodoe/Glimt and also got selected for the U-20 AFCON. He got injured and faced a lengthy period on the sidelines. Things were tough for the young man, getting such set back at the point of breakthrough. He got depressed, he almost lost interest in football. Like a true champ, he picked himself up, put on his boot and worked like crazy to get to where he is now.
