Victor Osimhen Offers Support to Boniface Following AFCON 2025 Qualifier Against Libya

Date:

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has shared his thoughts on Victor Boniface’s performance during Nigeria’s AFCON 2025 qualifier against Libya on October 11, 2024. Amid fan criticism and comments from interim head coach Austin Eguaveon, Osimhen offered encouragement to his teammate after Boniface struggled to find the net during the game.

In a message shared on his Instagram story, Osimhen reassured the Bayer Leverkusen striker, writing, “No shaking, my guy. It will come, and when it does, it won’t stop.” Despite Boniface’s challenges, Osimhen expressed confidence that the goals will start flowing once Boniface hits his stride.

Boniface, who has faced increasing scrutiny for not scoring since his debut for the national team, has contributed just one assist in eight appearances. Osimhen’s supportive words aim to lift Boniface’s spirits as the striker looks to end his goal drought in Nigeria’s upcoming second leg against Libya.
