Arsenal Football Club started their pre-season in an excellent style by thrashing the MLS All-Star 5-0 in the early hours of Thursday, July 20, 2023.
Goals from Gabriel Jesus, Leandro Trossard, Gabriel Martinelli and Kai Havertz as well as a Jorginho penalty, gave the Gunners an impressive win in Washington. This is Arsenal’s biggest winning margin against the MLS All-Stars since 2000.
The All-Stars which is managed by former Manchester United player, Wayne Rooney, could not find a way to break the Gunners which led to him making a lot of changes as early as the 30th minute.
Arsenal’s trio of new players, Havertz, Jurrien Timber and Declan Rice also showed the supporters a glimpse of what to expect from them when the 2023/24 season officially kicks off.
