The track had previously been certified gold after crossing 15 million digital streams in France in September 2023. The album was released in November 2022 via Roc Nation Records/Def Jam Recordings/Hollywood Records. It features other African stars like Afrobeats stars in Rema, Ckay, Tems, Fireboy DML, and South Africa’s DBN Gogo, Sino Msolo, Kamo Mphela, Young Stunna and Busiswa.

The achievements add to a growing list of digital triumphs by the Grammy winner, who went gold in France for his sixth studio album, Love, Damini, also in early October. The growth of Burna Boy is just meteoric and there’s definitely no limit to how far Burna Boy will go.

In September, Burna Boy became the first Afrobeats artist to secure a UK No 1 chart position with I Told Them, according to the Official Charts Company, responsible for compiling official music charts in the UK.
With this new addition to his dazzle of awards, Burna Boy’s music and the confidence he carries has further stamped him as a an icon of afro-fusion bringing Nigeria to the world.
