Chelsea captain and Spanish full-back, Cesar Azpilicueta has left the club as a free agent; the legendary full-back has signed a two-year-deal with LaLiga giants Atletico Madrid.
The Spaniard made over 500 appearances for the Blues over an 11-year period, winning nine trophies.
He defender made 508 appearances, won nine trophies, and played under nine different permanent managers during his time at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea chairman, Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali, co-controlling owner, said:
Cesar leaves an everlasting mark at Chelsea, as a warrior, as a champion, and as loyal Chelsea legend.
He has set the standards at the club for more than a decade and demonstrated to everyone what is required day in, day out to achieve success.
