Wizkid and Tems were among the winners of the 2023 National Association for the Advancement of Coloured People Awards (NAACP).

The winners of the 54th edition of the annual ceremony were announced on Monday night.

The NAACP Image Awards ceremony was held virtually to celebrate black excellence in art and entertainment.

Tems won the ‘Outstanding International Song’ category for ‘No Woman No Cry’ — which is one of the theme songs of ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’.

Wizkid, on the other hand, secured the ‘Outstanding Collaboration (contemporary)’ category for his feature on Chris Brown’s ‘Call Me Everyday’.

In 2022, the Afrobeat stars also clinched the NAACP Image Awards for their collaboration in ‘Essence’ a track off ‘Made in Lagos’ album.

The remix of the project featuring Justin Bieber also snagged the prize for the outstanding international song.
