The Nigerian police have now opened an official investigation to uncover the cause of Mohbad’s death.
After the death of talented musician, Mohbad, the question on everyone’s mind is, what really happened to Mohbad? There’s been reports here and there but nothing has been verified. It’s great news that the police are finally investigating the death of the 27 years old singer.
On Saturday, September 17, 2023, a special team was formed by the Acting Inspector-General of Police (IG), Kayode Egbetokun, and the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Idowu Owohunwa, to formally commence an investigation into the untimely demise of Ilerioluwa Aloba, who was widely recognized as Mohbad, the renowned Nigerian musician
In the course of this prominent inquiry, a dedicated squad of experienced detectives from the homicide division within the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) has been carefully assembled. Their central objective is to unravel the enigmatic circumstances surrounding the passing of this legendary figure in the Nigerian music scene.
The spokesperson for the command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, stated in a press release issued only yesterday, “We encourage family members or close associates with valuable information to approach the Lagos State Commissioner of Police to assist in this process,” the statement also emphasized that individuals should “refrain from making statements or engaging in activities that could jeopardise the ongoing investigation..”
The general public has been cautioned from making statements that might jeopardize the efforts of the Police.
