The Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) organizers have unveiled the nominations for the upcoming edition of the ceremony. Dubbed as the “Renaissance: Legacy in Motion” edition, this year’s event will pay tribute to its founder, Peace Anyiam-Osigwe, who sadly passed away in January. As per the event’s coordinators,

It’s no news that this year is a sad one for us. This will be the first Africa Movie Academy Awards without our founder, Ms. Peace Anyiam-Osigwe, MFR. Hence, this edition is a reunion of sorts, our way of keeping her alive by honouring her legacy in motion.
