The late Nigerian singer, Ilerioluwa Olademeji Aloba, known as Mohbad, achieved a historic feat by becoming the first EP to reach number one on Spotify Nigeria’s weekly album chart.
Since Mohbad’s passing on September 12, 2023, his music has dominated Nigerian streaming platforms, with tracks like “Peace,” “Feel Good,” “Ask About Me,” and “Beast and Peace” all ranking in the top ten on Apple Music Nigeria. Additionally, his single “Ask About Me” claimed the top spot on Spotify Nigeria’s singles chart, while his EP, “Blessed,” even entered the top 20 on the UK Apple Music albums chart.
